About Me

I am a mom, grandma, wife and a woman of faith. My life has been cultivated by many defining moments that have made me the person I am today. I have been very blessed, challenged and fulfilled in my forth-three years of life. Journaling is a creative way for me to share these ideas, thoughts and feelings. So follow along on my journey and hopefully you too will be encouraged.

Day 23 - June 24, 2011 Super's On....

I have been in the cooking mood all day today.  The latest blog that I'm following is PioneerWoman.com  Her blog is just amazing and she recently published a cookbook.  To my eyes amazement as I was walking in Walmart I saw it, "The Pioneer Woman Cooks."  They only
had one left and the price was $19.34.  Oh, don't know if I want to spend that much, after several debates with myself I purchased it. You see I'm not the type of person that I like to spend money on
myself, I'd rather spend it on my family or household items.  Good decision, I just love this cookbook.  It not only has some awesome recipes, but she has included her photographs as well (yes she is a photographer like me!) and some nice stories about her life.  I would love to meet her one day, she seems like a very interesting person.  One of the recipes that stood out was the Chicken Fried Steak, my husband just loves this dish.  So I am very excited to make that this week. Now back
to my cooking mood, as I'm multi-tasking between blogging and cooking dinner (and of course enjoying a glass of wine) I can't help but wonder what it would be like to be a stay-at-home wife and be able to do this all day. Oh, a girl can dream can't she!

Oops almost forgot, I'm cooking a rotisere chicken, pierogis with onions and corn on the cob!

"For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. "      Romans 14:2-3
